Cable Jointing Services

Unity Power Ltd provides specialist High Voltage (HV) and Low Voltage (LV) Cable Jointing Services for Utility, Industrial, Commercial, Energy Transition and Renewable Energy Projects across the UK. Our experienced team of Cable Jointers are trained and authorised to undertake the Installation, Jointing, Termination, Testing and Maintenance of Cable Systems operating from LV up to and including 132kV.

We deliver Cable Jointing solutions for a wide range of Projects, including Grid Connections, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Solar Farms, Wind Farms, Industrial Facilities and Private Networks, as well as supporting on existing Frameworks. Whether supporting new infrastructure developments, network extensions, asset replacements or fault repairs, our team ensures all Cable Systems are installed safely, efficiently and in accordance with the Industry Standards.

    HV & LV Cable Jointing

    Our experienced Jointers undertake the Installation and Jointing of HV and LV Cable Systems, ensuring that both reliable and secure Electrical Connections across new and existing networks is successfully achieved.

    We provide both Indoor and Outdoor Cable Termination Services for a wide range of Cable types and Voltage levels, ensuring safe and compliant connections to Switchgear, Transformers and other Electrical Equipment.

    We support various Distribution Network Operators (DNO’s), ICPs, Private Network Owners and Renewable Energy / Transition Developers with Cable connections for NEW Projects, Supplies, Diversions, Upgrades and Reinforcement Projects.

    Fault Repairs & Emergency Response

    Our team can identify, repair and replace damaged Cable Sections to restore Power safely and efficiently, whilst minimising disruption to Operations and Network Performance. We utilise our state-of-the-art testing equipment and deploy On-site Engineers to execute Safety Switching, Civil Excavation, and Cable Jointing.

    Substation Cable Works

    We undertake Cable Installation, Jointing and Termination works within Substation environments, including pulling and routing High Voltage (HV) and Low Voltage (LV) Power, Control, and Fibre-Optic Cables using Winches, Rollers, and Drum Trailers. We also provide high-precision Glanding, Jointing, and Connecting of Cables to Switchgear, Transformers, and Control Panels.

    Cable Testing & Commissioning

    Our Engineers carry out Pre-Commissioning and Post-Installation Testing to verify the Cable integrity, performance and compliance before Energisation. We also conduct Pressure Testing of Cables whilst verifying Grid Compliance prior to bringing the Circuit safely into operation.

    Specialist Cable Systems

    We are experienced in working with a range of Cable technologies including XLPE, EPR, Triplex, PILC/PICAS and other specialist Distribution and Transmission Cable Systems. We ensure the integrity of the system before it is Energised, minimising any catastrophic failures.
